Capstone Course Tips and Advice
With only 16 or fewer credits to complete your degree, you are nearing graduation and the culminating course in your degree program: the Integrative Capstone. Course Formats at Granite State College
Meet every week of the term on campus for face-to-face instruction between students and instructors.
Six Week/Intensives (IN)
Our six-week/intensives are fast-paced courses in which you'll be working both independently and in collaboration with your fellow students and instructor on a regular basis. Six-week/intensive courses have a shorter add/drop period than regulary 12 week courses.
Course instruction occurs completely online and there is no face-to-face requirement
Blended courses are a combination of face-to-face and online instruction. You'll meet each week on campus and the remaining instruction occurs online.
Hybrid courses meet on campus during certain pre-selected weeks during the term. Remaining instruction occurs online.
Online Blended (OB)
Online blended courses occur completely online throughout the term and include weekly scheduled live video sessions between students and the instructor. Online Blended courses utilize Zoom, our web conferencing software.
Online Hybrid (OH)
Online hybrid courses occur completely online throughout the term and incorporate several live video sessions between students and the instructor. The term's course schedule lists specific dates and times of the live video sessions. Online Hybrid Courses utilize Zoom, our web conferencing software.
Field-Based courses include 1:1 weekly meetings during the course based on times mutually determined by the student and instructor.
